Each year, more Canadian couples are discovering how easy, romantic - and affordable - it is to get married down south.  Whether it's just the two of you or a large wedding party, we have the resorts to fits the bill!  Many hotels offer wedding packages at reasonable rates, and some hotels even offer FREE weddings.

How much will it cost? Marriages overseas can vary greatly in cost (just like they do in Canada).  Some resorts offer weddings which are completely free of charge when certain conditions are met, others range up to the US $1000 mark.  Remember you can add elements such as live music, videographers, cocktail parties and much more.  The wedding coordinator at your hotel will have all the answers.

How long do we have to be in the destination before we can get married? Usually, it's 48 hours - but the duration varies from destination to destination.  The wedding coordinator will have up to date regulations, as well as a list of required documents which usually include birth certificates, decrees of divorce from past marriages if applicable, etc.

What if I'm travelling with a group? The more the merrier, as the saying goes!  Just remember some hotels are "Couples Only" or "Adults Only", and young guests are not permitted on site, even if just for the ceremony.
